Transana Training Workshop
July 24 - 25, 2008

The Transana Training Workshop is designed to help Transana users at all levels learn Transana's full feature set. The workshop will be facilitated by David Woods, Transana's developer, and will cover all aspects of the transcription and qualitative analysis of video using Transana.

All of Transana's features and tools will be discussed, from basic transcription techniques to performing longitudinal qualitative analysis. There is ample opportunity for questions.

The workshop will feature significant hand-on practice with Transana. Sample data will be provided, although participants are encouraged to bring their own data on their laptops for the practice sessions if they wish. During the practice sessions, there will be some opportunity for individual consultations on specific issues.

The workshop is limited to 20 participants.

The Transana Training Workshop will be hosted by the Wisconsin Center for Education Research, on the campus of the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

The cost for the Training Workshop is $370.

Accomodations can be reserved at the Doubletree hotel, about two blocks from WCER. Snack breaks will be provided for the training workshop. No meals will be provided, but lunch is available at restaurants just a short walk away.
