Transana Training Workshop
August 20 - 21, 2009
Madison, WI
The Transana Training Workshop is designed to help Transana users at all levels learn Transana's full feature set. The workshop will be facilitated by David Woods, Transana's developer, and will cover all aspects of the transcription and qualitative analysis of video and audio data using Transana.
All of Transana's features and tools will be discussed, from basic transcription and clip creation techniques to advanced techniques such as performing longitudinal qualitative analysis, multi-layered analysis using multiple simultaneous transcripts, and working with multiple simultaneous media files.
The workshop will feature presentation, discussion, and significant hands-on practice with Transana. Participants are encouraged to bring their own data on their laptops for the practice sessions, although practice data and lab computers are available if needed. During the practice sessions, there will be plenty of opportunity for individual consultations on issues related to individual research projects.
