Starting Transana
You can download Transana 2.04 from the website under the Download tab. After downloading the software, please follow the steps to start Transana for Microsoft Windows or click here for Macintosh users.

Microsoft Windows
To start Transana,

1. Click Start on the Taskbar
2. Point to Programs
3. Select the Transana 2 Program Group
4. Click Transana 2.0x from the submenu

The single-user version of Transana prompts you to select a database.
The multi-user version of Transana requires that you log in to your database server, as well as select a database.

Once you start Transana, you will need to enter your

• User name
• Password
• Database server
• Database name
  • NOTE: If you don't have a username, password, and database server name, ask your project administrator or your technical support representative for this information.(Please note that spaces and punctuation symbols are not allowed in database names.) Transana creates the appropriate database files for you.

Macintosh
To start Transana,

1. Open your Applications folder
2. Double-click the Transana 2 folder
3. Double-click the Transana program icon
