Converting Search Results to Collections
Transana lets you preserve the results of a search as a collection.

Convert a Search to a Collection
To convert a search into a collection follow the steps below.

  1. Right-click the Search Name (in the example below, the search name is Symmetry in the database tree with a magnifying glass icon next to it).
  2. Select Convert to Collection from the pop-up menu.
  3. Transana opens the Collection Properties dialog box.
  4. Enter a name for the new collection in the field labeled Collection ID.
  5. Add your initials to the field labeled Owner and select the Default Keyword Group.
  6. Click OK when you have finished.

Limitations of Converting Searches to Collections
The following are limitation of converting searches into collections.

  • Search Results disappears when the conversion is complete.
  • Episodes can be included in Search Results but are dropped when those results are converted to a Collection.
