About Episodes
Episodes are video files you create within
a series. For example, you can create separate episodes for videos recorded
on different days about the same subject. Within the Transana user interface,
you can find each episode you create by locating the episode icon on
the data window.

Creating an Episode
To create an episode follow the steps below.
- On the data window, right-click a previously created
"Series" (see the figure on the right).
- Select Add Episode.
Note: You will see the Add Episode menu (see the figure below).
- In the "Episode ID" box, enter the title
for the episode you are adding to Transana.
- In the "Date Taped" box, enter the date the
episode was taped.
- Click Browse.
- In the "Media Filename" box, select the video
or audio file you wish to work with.
- In the "Title/Comment" box, enter additional
comments about your episode.
Note: This step is optional.

Episode Keywords
To add episode keywords follow the steps below.
- In the "Keyword Group" box, select the keyword
group you wish to work with (see the figure on the right).
- In the "Keyword" box, select the keyword
you wish to add to this episode.
- Click the add keyword icon

Note: The keyword appears in the "Episode Keywords" box.

To delete an episode keyword follow these
steps.
- In the "Episode Keywords" box, select the
keyword you wish to delete.
- Click the delete keyword icon
.
Note the keyword is no longer in the "Episode Keywords" box.
