About Notes
Notes are free-form text which you can attach to Series, Episodes, Transcripts, Collections, or Clips. This is convenient for including relevant information about the source of video or relevant information about the intended use or definition of the various data categories.

You can attach multiple Notes to the same data objects by following these steps for adding notes to series and episodes.

Adding a Note (to a Series)
Follow the steps below to add a note to a Series.

  1. Right-click on the Series name
  2. Click on Add Series Note
  3. Type a note id name
  4. Type your name
  5. Click OK button
  6. Type your note
  7. Click the X (red button with x in upper right corner of note window) to close the note window

Viewing a Note
To view a note, follow the procedure below.

  • After you created your note, the note id will display in the database field attached to your Series tree.
  • View your notes by double-clicking on the note id name.

Adding a Note to a Episode, Transcript, Collection, or Clip
In the Database field, Right-click on your episode name, transcript name, collection name, or clip name and repeat the steps described in Adding a Note to a Series shown above.
