Converting Search Results to Collections

Activity: You can download the video Demo.mpg (available on the Downloads page on the Transana website (http://www.transana.org) and store it on your hard drive in a location where you will be able to find it such as C:\Program Files\Transana 2\Sample\Demo.mpg if you are using Windows or in HOME/Movies/Sample/Demo.mpg if you are using Macintosh OS/X.

The sample video shows a second-grade class learning geometry through a quilt design and construction activity.

To convert Search Results to Collections:

1. Right-click the search name Symmetry (It's in the database tree with a magnifying glass icon next to it).
2. Select "Convert to Collection" from the pop-up menu.
3. Enter "Symmetry Search Results" in the Collection ID field (Transana will open the Collection Properties dialog box).
4. Add your initials to the Owner field.
5. Select Demonstration Keywords as the default Keyword Group.
   

Note:
Don't confuse the search name "Symmetry" with the Collection named Symmetry (a file cabinet icon). Because Episodes cannot be included in Collections, Transana does not convert Episodes.
