Generating a keyword map

The keyword map present a visual display of where keywords have been assigned to clips created from a selected episode.

The episode timeline stretches along the x-axis across the top of the table. Each keyword has a row in the table. The segments of episode to which a keyword has been added is represented by a colored band. The starting and stopping points of the colored band correspond to the points in the episode where the keyword has been applied.

To generate a keyword map:

1. Right-click the episode in the Data window.

2. Click Keyword Map in the shortcut menu.

3. When you have finished looking at the map, click the Close button.

Note: At this time, the keyword map has one major flaw. The keyword/timeline bands are drawn opaquely, overwriting previous band information. If a particular keyword appears in more than one clip with overlapping time segments, only the last clip will be viusally apparent. It is possible that milutple clips share the same keyword/time linespace, but there is no way to see that from the keyword map.

You can do the following with a keyword map:

  • Save the keyword map as a jpg
  • Print the keyword map
