Viewing a clip
Within the Transana interface, you can view a clip in two ways. Additionally, you can view what preceded and what comes after the clip.

 

The Clip Icon
To view a clip from a clip icon ,

  1. On the data window, double-click the clip icon representing the clip you want to view (see the figure on the right).
    Note: If you do not see your clip in the data window, click on the + symbol to the left of the collection containing the clip you want to view.
  2. On the video window, click Play.

The Episode Clips Tab
To view a clip from the "Episode Clips" tab,

  1. On the data window, click "Episode Clips" tab (see the figure to the upper right).
    Note: If you do not see the "Episode Clips" tab, double-click the transcript that contains the episode in the data window.
  2. Double-click the clip you wish to see in the "Episode Clips" list (see the figure to the lower right).

Locate a Clip in an Episode
To view the episode that contains a clip,

  1. On the data window, right-click on the clip you wish to locate within an episode (see the figure on the right).
  2. Select Locate Clip in Episode.
    Note: You will see the episode that contains the clip.
